Adult Protective Services is a vital part of the Healthcare Facilities Regulation overseen by the Department of Health and Human Services. In addition, the Department of Homeland Security collaborates with local agencies like the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Furthermore, the Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire plays a significant role in ensuring safety standards. The Northwest Georgia Regional Commission, which acts as an Area Agency on Aging, provides essential resources for the elderly. Lastly, the Attorney General's Office, specifically the Consumer Protection Division, is dedicated to safeguarding consumers' rights.
